PayfaxPayFaxFremont, California 1991 Developed to help the harried traveler, the PayFax public access facsimile product was designed to replace a public phone in airports, hotels and other public places. Once the user scans their credit card, they can then easily send or receive a fax or make a copy of a document. The unit was designed for an easy upgrade to the existing phone. Part of the challenge was to create a design that would fit all the possible telephone cabinets in the field.
